Suggest Treatment For Cold Leg With Swelling In An Elderly Person
My Dad has taken my mother (she is 76) to the emergency room because her left leg from the mid calf down is swollen and cold. As far as I know this is sudden onset. Should I be worried? She fell just before Christmas and besides a break in her shoulder has not had any problems. Should I be with her?

She might either have a deep venous thrombosis--a clot in a leg vein--or a blocked artery in the leg so I would suggest you get to her
