Suggest Treatment For Cold, Runny Nose And Slight Fever In Infant
My son is 9 months old and has been prescribed 2.5ml of piriton twice daily due to possible allergies. He s been ill with a cold and runny nose for 2 days now and now has a slight temperature. Just wondering if I can also give him calpol. Just a bit wary as piriton is not normally sold to under 1 year old and I don t want to give him too much medicine.
Welcome at HCM i have gone through your query and being your doctor I completely understand your health concerns... You can add calpol to his medication . it will help relieve fever.. Avoid cold exposure and give him steam inhalation it would work best if it is available.... If cough become productive with greenish sputum then he may require antibiotics.. Do consult doctor if he Doesn't get improved...... Hope your query is adequately answered.. Regards Dr saad sultan
