I have had a cold sore in on the side of my mouth in between where my lips meet for a little over a month now. I ve never had a cold sore before this and it won t heal properly or go away. I ve tried everything from cold sore patches and hydrogen peroxide and tea tree oil in the early stages to Neosporin and petroleum jelly while it was scabbing to help protect and speed up the process. Every time it scabs over and the scabs fall off the sore still has tiny cuts like paper cuts on it and the scabbing starts all over again. It won t heal and as an actor its important for me to look my best and as best as I ve tried to take care of it and leave it alone it needs to go away. I ve disinfected my makeup and toothbrush and have been careful while applying products to it as to not spread the virus. Currently Trying iodine tincture. Please help?!
there can be many reasons for non healing sore including a dental infection, allergy to some filling material , any medication that you may be on , deficiency of vitamin b complex. Non healing ulcer needs to be evaluated properly, please meet your doctor , he will do the necessary tests and guide you further.
Thanks
