Suggest Treatment For Cold & Sore Throat

Hey doctors, I ve had a light cold for a couple of days that started with an extremely sore throat that i was able to soothe but now its develloped into a chest cough, nasal congestion and my sore throat has come back. Will buckelys chest congestion liquid help my symptoms?

Hi,

Noted your history about chest cough, nasal congestion, sore throat and wants to know whether Buckley's chest congestion can help.
- Buckley's chest congestion contains Guaifenesin alone and is a good medicine but you may need additional medicines too.
- Use Otrivin nasal drops.
- Steam inhalation.
- Take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
- If all these measures help then well and good.
- If you still continue to have problems then you should consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and necessary investigations for proper diagnosis and have additional prescription based medicines.
- Take bed rest for good recovery.
- Take multivitamins and minerals.
