Suggest Treatment For Collapsed Gallbladder And Jaundice In A Child
Hi, what is the treatment of collapsed gallbladder in an 11yr old female child? with jaundice no any other symtoms ixs done fhg- essentially normal LFTs- raised ALT and AST more than Alkaline phosphatase abdominal u/s - collapsed gallbladder all other organs normal blood slide for malaria-neg stool for microscopy- no o/c seen
Consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated. If he is asymptomatic and no signs of jaundice, only follow up is required. In symptomatic cases, surgical removal of the gallbladder may be required.
