Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I'm feeling abit of chest pain, however I can't quite pinpoint where the pain is radiating, sort of feels behind my breast bone and mid abdomin. I don't want to worry too much about it for this sort of has happened before however I do have a congenital heart defect. Should I be more concerned?
Thanks for posting your query at HealthCareMagic. You have not mentioned your age. Information on that would have been helpful. Based on the location of your pain, it seems to be more like a pain due to gastritis or gastro-esophageal reflux which common people refer to as hyperacidity. It is unlikely that you have a congenital heart disease. But to be sure that you do not have it, a echocardiogram would be required. Furthermore, an ECG would help in ruling out ischemic heart disease as a cause of the pain.
You need not worry at the moment. Get the tests done and get back to me and I would try to help further.
