Suggest Treatment For Congestion

My one month old does not have a temperature.... Her temperature is 97.7 to 98.2 but she is overly congested , I've been using the bulb to suck out what I can but with in the last two hours I have not been able to get any boogers out. The color of her boogers a greenish clear. What do I do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your infant has a Viral infection leading to cold and congestion..
As she is young enough that she should not be given any cold medicine you can do the following to relieve congestion and ease her breathing..
You can put saline nasal drops in her nostrils as it will help in loosening and setting the thick mucous and ease drainage..
Use a humidifier in your room as it will help in breathing..
You can do warm compresses ( not hot just mildly warm) over her chest and around nose to relieve congestion
Feed her with ample of breast milk as it helps in boosting immunity as it has ample of agents that can fight infection..
In case if there is no improvement consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..
