General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, these symptoms can be due to IBS but any infection or pathological causes should be ruled out. I suggest taking a gastroenterologist review, an ultrasound abdomen and X-ray erect abdomen for any gaseous distentions etc.

Stool analysis for any infection signs may also be needed. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen alongwith anti spasmodic like drotavarine or mebeveramine can be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
