Suggest Treatment For Constant Stomach Pain In A Person With Crohn S Disease
My best friend has Crohns that has infected both intestines. She a competitive cheerleader, pageant queen, and a straight A student. She is 15 years old and the doctors have been talking about g-tubes and colostomy bags. They have done a lot of test and tried many treatment options but none have seemed to work. She is currently on Humaria shots every two weeks and is still in constant pain. Currently it is only a mild case but the doctors say its only going to get worse. I was wondering, when will they finally say we should start looking into a transplant option?
Transplant is not an option for case of Crohn's disease. Himira shots with supportive care is best meant for supportive care. As contrast to ulcerative colitis, resection and anastomosis is not curable for Crohn's disease. However, if her latest scan reports if available can help to discuss further treatment options in her case.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
