Suggest Treatment For Constant Twitching In Eyes And Lips

I hav ea problem which local neuro doctors call twiching , i this problem my right half face twiches esp.eye and lips which sometimes quite embarassing , the remaining half like hand ., legs etc are strong and normal, A local neurologist gave me Rivotril 1 mg but after taking it for 20 days i developed Diabities so i stopped taking it . I am 52 y male with 3 kids , wt is 83 kg Height 5`10" and i have hernia problem also for which i will have to go for surgery sometime in near future. Please advise treatment of Twiching ??

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain twitching of one half of face can be most probably due to disorders related to Facial nerve that supplies the muscles of face and any discrepncy in its function like traumatic injury, viral infection, compression by artery and central nervous system probems like Multiple myeloma and tumours can lead to irregular bursting of impulses leading to twitching..
I would suggest you to consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated and he can advise you investigations like MRI SCAN ,Nerve conduction studies, Electromyography etc to confirm the cause and treat you accordingly..
As of now you can do warm compresses over affected side..
You can also take Vitamin B complex as it help in nerve regeneration and conduction..
