Suggest Treatment For Constipation & Partial Rectal Prolapse
My son is two months old. He has been having problems with constipation, distended abdomen and partial rectal prolapse since he was born. He also has a red bumpy rash all over his face and head which seems to get worse after he eats. We had him on nutrimigen for three weeks which did not work and now we have him on similac alemintum which he has been on for about two weeks. He still has not improved at all. Do you think he could be lactose intolerant?
Your son symptoms can be related to lactose intolerance. I suggest to do the check the symptoms of your son after consuming milk containing products.
He will experience one or more of the following symptoms 30 minutes to two hours after consuming a milk-containing or milk-based product: Abdominal bloating, pain, or cramps. If this happens you should avoid this products from his diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
