Acid reflux can be associated with feeling as though food in stuck, regurgitation, nausea, burning sensation,
vomiting, bloating.
It is treated with lifestyle changes and medication.
Lifestyle changes include: (1)using small frequent meals instead of large meals
(2)avoid spicy, acidic, citrus, fatty or fried foods
(3)reducing use of chocolate, mint, tomato, caffeine
(4)waiting at least 2 hours before lying down after eating
There is also medication that may help such as
prilosec,
prevacid, nexium, aciphex.
In terms of the
constipation the use of a high fiber diet would be useful.This means at least 5 portions of fruits and vegetables, whole wheat rice/pasta/bread.
A fiber supplement may also be needed.
