Suggest Treatment For Contact Dermatitis On The Hands While On Diltiazem
I m taking Diltiazem for high blood pressure. A few years ago I developed a rash on my hands that has been repeatedly diagnosed as contact dermatitis by several Dermatologists....but even after patch testing no one is able to tell me what I m coming into contact with that is causing the issue. I ve read that 2% of people who take diltiazem develop rashes. I feel like the problem on my hand is internal because it is cleared up almost immediately by a Kenalog shot. If a shot clears up the problem with my hands doesn t that mean it s happening inside? Problem is, when the shot wears off my hands become worse. It s been several years, would love any help or advice. Thx XXXX
I had gone through history you gave. I can understand your concern for sensitivity to Diltiazem used for control of BP. I would only say that you discuss with your physician and tell him to change the drug. There are so many alternative drugs for the control of BP. There is no need to worry.
Hope I answered your query. I would glad to answer you for any other query.
