My husband had emergency gallbladder surgery due to gallstone and infection in gallbladder on 2/22/14. On or about 2/27 he developed a severe red rash on his abdomen. Oral Benadryl, topical Benadryl, otc hydrocortisone, Neosporin have all been used on this rash and nothing appears to have improved it. He contacted the surgeons office this morning and they just blew it off as probably being a contact dermatitis. After researching this issue, I do not believe it is contact dermatitis but rather something that needs further looking into.
