Suggest Treatment For Contagious Raised Bumpy Rash Seen After Vacationing
Hello. My name is Lacey and I am 30 years old. My family went on vacation for a week to the beach and we just returned home 6 days ago. 3 days after we arrived - my 6 year old developed a raised red bumpy rash on his arms and torso. The next day - my husband, mother, and myself got the rash on our arms and the following day my 5 year old got it on his torso and arms. It was slightly itchy so we went to a dr thinking it was scabies or some other infestation. We were assured it was not and even dis the home ink test. We were told it was contact dermatitis and were given steroids. We came home almost a week ago and the 3 adults still have the rash but it is no longer red or itchy. Last night- I discovered that the soles of my feet are brownish colored and are peeling all over- even on the bottoms of each of my toes. I don't know if this is related but I am concerned. I brought my 6 year old to his pediatrician yesterday and he didn't really have an answer. My 6 year old did test positive for strep with the 6 week antigen test - but no one showed any symptoms of this. the pediatrician said his rash was not from scarlet fever. Do you have any suggestions because we are at a loss?
