Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Thank you. My name is Mary and I have soft corns developing on the inside of big toes and adjoining toe, also I have a corn spot that grows under my two toes on the end of right foot. I have had bunionectomies done on both feet, and wonder what can I do to stop the big toes from overlapping other toes. Also, I have been told by a podiatrist that I have arthritis in my feet. Can the orthopedic attachments help with pain in feet at night. I am 69 years old and female. Thank you for your advice or whatever you can tell me to help me. Sorry for so many questions at once. Thank you again. Mary
Hello Mrs. Mary. Read your query and noted the contents.
The treatment of soft corns involve application of keratolytics like urea and salicylic acid. The next higher option would be to see a dermatologist and freeze them with liquid nitrogen. The next option would be to surgically excise it. Please start with the first option and see how you are doing.
Please feel free to drop in any more queries if need be. Warm regards, Dr Praveen
