Suggest Treatment For Costochronditis

I was diagnosed with Erythema Annulare last August. Cause as of yet unknown! I now am suffering my second bout of Costochronditis in a month. Really frustrated that any of the doctors or consultants I have been to cannot find a cause/cure. Any recommendations/diagnosis?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Costochondritis is inflammation of costal cartilage. It can be due to physical over activity, strain, trauma or viral infection.
Irrespective of etiology, treatment remains same.
You should avoid heavyweight lifting, strenuous exercise.
Avoid movements causing pain. Apply warm water pad on affected site. Start painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs.
Since these drugs are prescribed medicines, you need doctor 's prescription for them.
No need to worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
