Suggest Treatment For Cough And Chest Congestion In A Child
Hi docter,my 7 month old baby has cough and congestion ,its started 3 weeks .first we get ventolin spray ,we continously use this spray and reduse the cough ,but after 3 days again started cough .day time he has no problem night after 12am started cough at last he was vomitting morning time less cough .last friday we get fenistial drops friday onwards i give to this medicibe but no change.now he drinks only breast milk he refused all food .he feel hungry he drink more breast milk.Before 3 months hehad bronchitis and admitted to hospital that time we are in india .now we are in qatar here is the cold started.i need right suggestion howmany days give fenisitil drops

Fenistidine is an anti-allergic medicine. It is not advisable for children below 2 years of age unless prescribed by a doctor. Please ask the prescribing doctor about the drug.
I feel your baby has severe upper respiratory tract infection with post nasal drip which accumulated in the throat over the night to cause trouble & relieved in the morning after vomiting.
The baby needs detailed physical examination & needful investigations to exclude infection, know about allergy & allergens followed by specific treatment plan as well as preventive plan.
