Suggest Treatment For Cough And Chest Congestion

I've had a niggling cough for about 3 months now, I've also had a virus in that time that lasted 2 weeks and an acute liver injury from some fluoxicillin that was proscribed for an infected cut which all happened about a month ago. Recently in the last 2 days my cough has developed into a chesty cough with mucus and a slight metallic taste in my mouth when I cough. I also have Asthma so have been taking inhalers to relieve my chest when it was tight.

I can understand your concern.
Your all symptoms are suggestive of post infectious bronchitis.
It is common after viral upper respiratory tract infection.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need additional inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) on the basis of severity.
Oral anti inflammatory drugs are also useful.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
