Suggest Treatment For Cough And Chest Pain

my son had a cold like the rest of us about a month ago. we are all better; but he still has a cough hard enough to cause him chest pain. He is 34 yrs old and has not smoked for over a year. He does have a history of TB that was treated and had exposure to concrete dust at work. Should he see a pneumologist he has no health insurance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
For now he just needs to see a general practitioner for an exam and a chest x-ray.

This could be a bacterial bronchitis that only requires a round of antibiotics, but it could also be pneumonia.
