Suggest Treatment For Cough And Fever In A Child
I don t have a walk in clinic anywhere I live. And I can t get my 12 year old son in to see my doctor, my doctor dropped my family as patients because we hadn t seen him in over 6 months. My son has a cough and a 101.7 temperature off and on. He s been drinking lots of fluids and eating fine. Can t get him to take cough medicine though. I have a vaporizer going and give him cough drops. Any suggestions?

The cough, fever is most likely due to an acute viral infection (cough and cold).
You can continue the fluids and cough drops. Paracetamol or another antipyretic such ibuprofen can be added to help control the fever.
