Suggest Treatment For Cough And Sore Throat Despite Medication

Been to the doctor for severe cough, scratchy throat, swollen lymph nodes that are tender. Was prescribed antibiotics three weeks ago. Seemed to have gone away. Then came back with symptoms not as severe. Was treated for pink eye this past Saturday but the cough is back & so is the throat soreness. Was told it was due to post nasal drip.

As per your complain it seems that you have got a viral throat infection leading to symptoms of post nasal drip, sore throat and cough..
Pink eye or Conjunctivitis is also due to viral infection and the symptoms of cold can occur secondary to eye infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluation can help in diagnosis nd treatment can be done accordingly..In case of viral infection, you can be advised to take supportive treatment like take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised to take anti allergics like Benadryl, mucolytics like Ambroxol and decongestants like Phenylephrine..
You can also be advised to take cough expectorant containing Gueifenesin.
