Suggest Treatment For Cough And Sore Throat

I have had a cough and sore throat for about a week now. Tonight i just realized i have a white polka dot on my super swollen tonsils, and this huge thick yellow patch going down my throats which i don t think i ve ever had before. What is the yellow strip?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of cough and sore throat which seems to be due to chronic upper respiratory tract infection and due to poor immunity of body as well.

Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. Take proper course of antibiotics such as Azithromycin 25 mg along with anti-inflammatory medications. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get chest x-ray done along with throat swab test and blood tests and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
