Suggest Treatment For Cough, Cold And Excessive Sweating

My 14 month old daughter is having cough and cold. She has running nose and sometimes cough in intervals. We are giving her Alex Junior which seems to keep her fine but it is not completely curing her cold. She sweats a lot and weather these days is hot/cold mix in Delhi.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr. Alexandra Gidoiu. If your daughter would be my patient, i would continue with the treatment however Alex Junior is only for her dry cough. Your daughter has a typical flu. I suspect she has fever, if she is also experiencing sweating, which normally goes together with chills. It would be good if you could buy a heating blanket and wrap it around her and allow her to sweat and better fight the infection. Try to keep her in the house so that she is not exposed to changing weather. And provide warm tea with lemon and honey and plenty of fluids (i.e soups).
