Suggest Treatment For Cough, Cold And Fever

Hello Dr. My son is 3.8 years now. He is diagnosed with asthma, had wheezing. He is on Esiflo 125 Transhaler for a month and a half now. Pediatrician has prescribed it for 6 months. He often gets cough, cold and then fever. Just 2 weeks back he was recovered, now again he started with cold, cough and now fever. Please guide me.

I understand your concern.
The transhaler your son is using is to attain ease in breathing. Apart from this , your son needs..
- Repeated attacks of cold & cough he has seems to be mostly allergic in origin.This needs to be diagnosed by allergy tests .. Followed by desensitization treatment..which helps to get rid of the allergy.
- A suitable antibiotic/ anti allergic medicine/ mast cell blocker like Montelucast & cough syrup with broncho dialater should be the treatment to control acute attack.The inhaler to be continued as per his doctor's advise
- Treatment to improve his body resistance .. vitamins/ protein supplements/ vitamin A supplement as per need.
