General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I can undrrstand your concern.
Its usually better to avoid any medications during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks.
Since you have completed 12 weeks, it is relatively safer to use antibiotics and other drugs.
Pencillin group of antibiotics which the doctor has written for you are the safest among the antibiotics during pregnancy.
The medication prescribed by the doctor are sufficient in your case.
Kindly continue the folic acid and the susten(progesterone) tabs as advised. They help in preventing neural tube defects and maintaing the uterus respectively.
If the hemoglobin levels are low i would suggest an addition of iron tablets along with these.
Hope you are satisfied with the response. Thanks for choosing HCM
