Suggest Treatment For Cough, Fever And Sore Throat

My daughter has a bad cough took her took doctor on Wednesday who prescribed antibiotics, she woke up Friday with a 100.2 degree temp. Got it down then Saturday morning she had a 102.1 fever and it spiked again Saturday night. She has done nothing but laid around since Wednesday. Also complaining about a sore throat. Should intake her to doctor in the morning if they can get her in or to the er since we have been battling this fever since Friday also she has barely ate anything.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your daughter is suffering from viral infection and the symptoms of fever and cough are due to it..
As it is a viral infection it will not resolve with antibiotics as the antibiotics acts against bacteria and not viruses..
The infection will however resolve once the virus will complete its cycle in human body..
As of now you can start with supportive treatment to relieve the symptoms like:
-Gargle with a warm saline solution that is by mixing 1 teaspoon salt in a glass of water and warm it to make a luke warm solution..
-Give her a combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen..
-Give her cough suppressant containing Dextromethorphan and cough expectorant containing Gueifenesin..
3. Do steam inhalations..
4. Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
5. Sip on warm water throughout the day..
