Suggest Treatment For Cough, Fever, Nasal Congestion And Dark Purple Circles Around Eyes
Hello. My four year old has had a cough and bad nasal congestion since September, right around when he started preschool. He s been on antibiotics 3 times, including prescribed eye drops for a double eye infection. His doctor says his lungs sound great, but tonight he coughed so hard he threw up. His temper is varying between 99 and 100 and he has a dark purple circle around his eye.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of cough, fever, nasal congestion and dark purple circles around eyes which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and common cold. It is due to poor immunity of body as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take cough expectorants. You should take anti inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine. Take diet rich in vitamin B12. You should take antibiotics such as Levofloxacin or Azithromycin for 5-7 days. You should get blood test done. You should get an x ray of the chest and pulmonary function tests done as well. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should put cucumber slices on eyes and avoid stress. You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. You should Chew a Vitamin C pellet. Take decongestants and mucolytic agents. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
