Suggest Treatment For Cough, Nausea And Sore Lips When Allergic To Coconuts

I am 30 weeks pregnant, and I have a coconut allergy. I have been eating some gummies that have coconut oil in them without knowing about the coconut oil for two or three days now. I have been coughing, very neasous, my lips have sores on them, and my temperature is 96.5°F. I was wondering if I should go to the er.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have cough, nausea and sore lips when allergic to coconuts . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons common cold , bronchitis , asthma , GERD , panic attack , cardiac problem and ear infection . Dizziness and nausea can also occur due to ear infection and sinusitis . But in your case the symptoms are probably due to allergic reaction. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , chest x-ray , allergy test and take history . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics like gentamicin along with anti allergic . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist if the problem will be related with heart . For now do not bend forward and do warm saline gargles . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist .Drink green tea with ginger thrice a day .
