General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi dear,
i understand your concern,
cough since one month means it should be evaluated,
as your sister visited doctor and it was diagnosed as pneumonia.
cough is symptom of pneumonia,
pneumonia is commonly due infections.
persistent of cough means there is still infection in her lung. or can be due to new infection.
so please meet your doctor again he will run specific test and change/add antibiotics .
I find this answer helpful
