Suggest Treatment For Crackling Sound While Breathing
In the past 3 weeks I have been wakung up by a rasp or crackle in,my throat, but only at the end of an exhale. This wakes me up and I vough and bring up thick white saliva. Once I stand up the symptoms are gone. I know I have two to three alcholic frinks before bed.
Hi Thank for posting on HCM Crackling sound while breathing could be caused by a respiratory infection or allergy. It occurs as a result of airway narrowing which could be caused by an inflammation or mucous accumulation.I will suggest you try the following: -Take enough fluids(water) -Take a mucolytic like carbocysteine 5% -A steroid like prednisolone for 5 days -An anti-histamine like loratadine -Avoid environmental irritants like smoke, dust and cold If symptoms persist, you see the Doctor for evaluation. Hope this will help Best regards
