General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of pain after passing stool with feeling of a skin tag one month after giving birth to your baby. Your history is classical of a condition called Fissure-in-ano that is common to occur after childbirth. I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Sitz bath in a tub with warm water.
Safe stool softener and laxative to keep the stool soft.
Dietary adjustment to have soft stools.
Stop the foods and beverages that cause constipation or any gastrointestinal problems.

This alone should be healing the fissure well. If these thing do not help fully then consult a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination, per-rectal examination to know the exact diagnosis.

In some cases a course of an antibiotic, Metronidazole and probiotic may be needed and will be prescription based. Rarely you may anal dilatation under general anesthesia for cure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
