I had a uterine ablation 8 months ago. Recovered quickly and have not bled since. It has been great. A couple of weeks ago i started having cramps, lower back pain And fatigue. It feels like horrible pms I used to get before ablation. No bleeding but I m in pain. Called my doctors nurse and they said to just log it for a few months. His next appointment is two weeks from now. I start a new job tomorrow and have two toddler s!. I don t know what to do for the pain until i can see him? i am so grumpy and irritable from the pain!

Hi,

Here are some suggestions that may help alleviate your symptoms until you can see your doctor:
* Over-the-counter pain relievers: Take over-the-counter pain relievers like Ibuprofen or Naproxen to ease the pain. Be sure to follow the recommended dosage on the label and speak to a pharmacist before taking any medication to make sure it's safe for you.
* Heating pads: Applying a heating pad to your lower back or abdomen can help ease the pain and cramps. You can use an electric heating pad or a warm towel.
* Relaxation techniques: Stress and tension can exacerbate pain, so practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga may help.
* Light exercise: Light exercises like walking or gentle stretching can help alleviate pain and improve circulation.
* Avoid trigger foods: Some women find that certain foods like caffeine, sugar, and processed foods can exacerbate their symptoms. Avoiding these trigger foods may help alleviate your pain.
* Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can help keep your body hydrated and may help alleviate your symptoms.

Remember to take care of yourself and don't hesitate to seek medical attention if your symptoms worsen or if you experience any new symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
