Suggest Treatment For Cramps In Feet And Toes Of A Person With Heart Disease
I am 77 and have a history of heart valve surgeries resulting in prosthetic mitral and aorta valves. I consider myelf to be in good health. However, I suffer from cramps in my feet. Not only the toes, but also the top of my feet. I am 5 4 /140 lbs. Anything I can do to alleviate this?
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You have been experiencing foot and leg cramps. The cramps could be a sign of low potassium. I would recommend that you take extra potassium supplements or eat food rich in potassium like bananas citrus and fish. If this does not help then try quinine water. One glass of quinine a day may help reduce the cramps too.
I hope this answered your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care questions and concerns
