Hi, I recently cut the lower part of my thigh (10/02/2015) and had to get stitches to close the wound. The cut is in the shape of the letter “Y”. It seems that my skin was stretched when I was cut. It seems there is excess skin at the center point of the cut where all the ends of the cut meet. The skin appears to be lying under a portion of the cut rather than just touching the other side of the cut. The skin in that area looks like it is more raised than the other skin due to being under the other side of the cut rather than just touching it. That area is more sensitive to touch than the rest of the wound and skin in that area also appears to be very dark, almost black looking or like a very dark bruise. Will the cut heal properly it the skin is under the other part of the cut rather than just touching it or should I see a physician in person to get this checked out? Will the dark area eventually heal itself or should I see a physician in person to get this checked out? If you advise that I see a physician in person, who do you suggest I see to get this taken care of? Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated! Emily B.
