Suggest Treatment For Damaged Nerves In Ears

I had a major infection in both ears about three years ago and both eardrums ruptured. Thereafter I had tubes in both ears, then no tubes, then significant hearing loss. Most recently I have had tubes placed in both ears and can hear sound more clearly but muffled and difficult to understand. The hearing test shows I have minor nerve damage in both ears but the major problem seems to be the ear drums. Do I have any options short of hearing aids?
