I AM SUFFERING FROM PARKINSONS DISEASE AND A COUPLE WEEKS AGO I GOT AN URINE INFECTION .WHEN I CONSULTED MY DR WHO TREATS FOR PD,HE PRESCRIBED BACTRIM DS AND AMANTREL FOR ONE WEEK.AFTER TAKING MEDICINE FOR 5DAYS I FELT FEVERISH AND MY URINE COLOUR WAS DARK BROWN . MY DR IS OVERSEAS AT PRESENT -I SHALL BE MUCH GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD KINDLY ADVISE ME AS TO WHETHER INFECTION IS STILL ON. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. SRIMA

You need to start taking nitrofurantoin and get another urine examination along with culture and sensitivity to identify appropriate antibiotic. 3. You can take paracetamol for fever.
