General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear Anitha. Some of the skin conditions if acquired hereditary, is very difficult to treat. Many times it will be some rare autoimmune conditions which even dermatologists find difficult to make a perfect diagnosis. One radical treatment is laser therapy. You can discuss with your dermatologist how long will it take to get a better skin with laser therapy. If you find it feasible you can go for laser therapy.
Sunscreams and medications may not help you at this stage.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
