Suggest Treatment For Dark Pigmentation In The Eye

I Have dark pigmentation under one eye. It occurred immediately after the dermatologist took a sample from under that eye to see if there were cancer cells. There were not. The pigmentation is larger than a quarter and very very difficult, if not impossible to cover. Everyone asks if someone hit me in the eye. I ve had it for over six months. What should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the dark pigmentation is over a period of 6 months , it suggests that there is chronic changes in the dermis layer of the skin where melanocytes are functioning for skin color appearance. A skin biopsy is a must to comment further line of action once the diagnosis is confirmed by the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
