Suggest Treatment For Dark Spots On Face And Persistent Ringworm
My daughter has a ringworm that is hard to go away and has a dark spot on her face after 3 weeks of treatment. 2 weeks with clotrimazole 1% and 6 days with terbinafine hydrochloride 1%. Her doctor said if 2nd treatment doesn't work after two weeks bring her back in. Will dark spot eventually fade away?
Thanks for your query . Well this is a common problem .Generally ringworm infection doesn't go away in one or two weeks , it can take up to month.Ringworm infection infection is very contagious so keep your cloths separate from others and keep your face dry .
I would suggest you to consult your dermatologist again if the present treatment doesn't work .Doctor may prescribe oral anti fungal like fluconazole or griseofulvin. He/she may also prescribe antifungal ointment with steroid for at least month .
You can also apply tree tea oil to affected area which is also very effective.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
