Hi,

There are many reasons for delayed and irregular period, from stress to hormonal imbalances however it is not an unusual problem and is faced by many women. There is nothing to worry about it. For regulation, you may need to start taking hormonal pills under the guidance and advice of a gynecologist. I would request you to seek a gynecologist and get few investigations done in order to find the cause and then start taking medications for it, if advised by your treating doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
