Suggest Treatment For Dementia In An Elderly Person

My dad has dementia. Are there any typical patterns in the end stage? He has been happy for the most part but now he seems more confused. Gets angry when he thinks things are happening that aren t. Can t talk him out of them. Very distressing. He is 93.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thanks you for asking this question. I have undergone through your question. I understand your concern, but no need to worry. At the age of 93 years, dementia, confusion and irritability are very common. There is no need of any intervention. What your father needs is your love, empathy and your affection. Understand him. He has nurtured you when you were child. Now its time of your turn. Return his love & affection with love and affection. Respect him, care him. That's all, he needs.

Good luck
