Suggest Treatment For Dental Cavities Causing Severe Pain

Hi there, I have a hole behind one of my wisdom teeth that can fill with food and get infected, it is a few months until my next dentist appointment but my tooth is really hurting (not sharp pain, dull throbbing) I have tried to clean out the hole to ease pain and it works for a little while but it comes back. Is there anything else that could be causing it?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it to the best of my knowledge and experience..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from PERICORONITIS that is inflammation of Gum flap around wisdom tooth due to food accumulation causing bacterial proliferation and inflammation of the soft tissues causing pain and swelling...

As it is occurring again and again you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and for permanent resolution you should either get the gum flap removed or the best way to get rid of it is to get wisdom tooth extracted/ removed..

As of now you should do warm saline gargles 2 times a day..
You should gargle with betadine mouthwash..
Always gargle atleast with water after meals so that food does not accumulate in that area..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
