hey im 20 yrs old and have just been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and was precribed axit mirtazapine (30mg) and have to take half at night i currently smoke marijuana and am trying to quit is it bad to take mirtazapine and smoke marijuana and wat kind of side effects it will give me
You have depression and are taking mirtazapine for that. You also smoke marijuana. Marijuana is cannabis and the drug is known to produce lack of motivation or amotivational syndrome. This result in worsening of depressive symptoms. As per my opinion you should avoid using marijuana along with mirtazapine. Cannabis and smoking will also alter the metabolism of mirtazapine. Consult your psychiatrist if symptoms persist.
Thanks, hope this helps you.
