Suggest Treatment For Depression With Heaviness In Eyes And Pressure In Head
I am 70 years old, 5' 8" tall and weigh 175 lbs. I have been suffering from depression for many years and nothing seems to work for me for any length of time. My worst symptoms are extreme heaviness in my eyes and pressure in my head. Sometime I feel like I have been misdiagnosed. I have had much emotional and mental stress in my life. I would appreciate any help you could give me. My spiritual life is helping me more than anything else. Thank you.
I am sorry to hear that you are having problem with depression. I sounds like you have tried all sorts of medications and they help for a short time but your symptoms return.
For my patients with recurrent depression I recommend that they start using a form of therapy called cognitive behavioral therapy. These are self help work books that helps you retrain your brain and thinking so you don't dwell on the depression and anxiety. In combination with medication this helps tremendously.
Please give it a chance before you discount my suggestion.
