Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am 40 yrs old. My menses last only 2 days, mostly clots. Cramps are getting worst. I have anxiety and some depression. I don't wake up refreshed and have nausea. I am thin. My thyroid tests normal. I also have cold feet and hands. Could this be hormonal but I am thin and no weight gain cause of persistant nausea.
I went through your details. I hope you have consulted your gynacologist. Usually nausea and loss of appetite is found during climacteric period. Gynacologist will be able to explain those to you. Depression and anxiety are also common during periods. These anxiety and depression is rather found as a syndrome or a group of symptoms including cramps, nausea, vomiting, body aches, negative thoughts and obsession etc. Behavioral therapy methods are used to treat this condition. Psychiatric medicines can also be had for anxiety and depression. First, please consult your gynacologist.
