Suggest Treatment For Depression

I have an issue; and I don't know who to talk to about it or what it could be. But because I am so ashamed of it I'm lost. I'm on the urge of that if I don't figure it out I am going to drop out of college. So here it is.
For about 2 months now, I always have this weird feeling in my bottom area, a feeling I can only describe as it feels like I have poo'd myself. And it is getting so bad that I can't sit down anywhere for more then about 5 minutes because the feeling is there and I get scared and nervous and start sweating and I am now just so confused to why and can't find an explanation to it. PLEASE HELP.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. The feelings that you have passed but usually nothing happens could occur due to severe anxiety. Such symptoms result in restlessness, nervousness, scary feelings and confusion. These symptoms can occur due to obsessive thoughts. But first of all you should get yourself examined to rule out any mild infection around anal area. I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist for expert opinion and evaluation. Such type of intrusive thoughts will come under control with medicines. Medicines like SSRIs especially Fluoxetine, Paroxetine etc can help to control severe anxiety and your symptoms will come under control. Please don't think to drop out of college and don't be ashamed. A lot of individuals have such intrusive unwanted thoughts but they would reduce with medicines. Consult a psychiatrist for prescription of the drugs.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. TAKE CARE
