Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
good morning doctor,my father has a serious depression problem and he is not willing to visit a doctor .is their any solution to take him to a doctor.he is 56 years old.certain symptoms are , he wispers and talks alone,he doubts everybody,he stopped doing job since many years.please suggest something.
The symptoms that you have described are more suggestive of psychosis than depression. In my opinion, you should consult a good psychiatrist and try to arrange a home visit by the doctor. Your father may need to be given medicines mixed in his food if he refuses to take them. But obviously, a doctor first needs to be consulted.
Best wishes.
