Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea After Eating

I think I ate some creamy pesto penne Parmesan pasta than was on the border of being past due. It smelled fine but the taste was a bit off. I ve had a bit of an upset stomach since eating the pasta at noon hour. I have had carbonated water and an unbuttered white toast for supper. Should I eat something in particular to settle my stomach? Should I induce vomiting or should I wait and see if I m going to be sick?

Hello,

Symptoms you mentioned are stomach related / gastritis. You should take plenty of water ,plain yogurt. I would recommend Tab Omeprazole / Prilosec 40mg once a day for 3 days, this will settle your symptoms. This medicine is available over the counter.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Wajahat Baig, Internal Medicine Specialist
