Last week, I had diarreah, and a few days later I noticed a little blood in my stool. Today, I had quite a bit of white in my stool. I haven t been sick for a while, but I have had a little bit of mucus in the back of my throat. Why could this be? I am 16 years old
Hello I share your concern Blood in stool is always a matter of concern You might have developed fissure or hemorrhoids I would advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for colonoscopy or per rectal examination
Another possibility is rectal polyp which can be seen during colonoscopy You should avoid fried and spicy food Have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables Have dietary fibers maintain good hygiene wah your hands with antiseptic soap or solutions every time you eat.
Mucus in back of throat can be caused by allergy or infection of the throat I would advise you to do Gargling with antiseptic mouthwash or warm saline water Steam inhalation and anti allergy medicines like levocetirizine will definitely help you
Thanks for your question please feel free to ask for more clarification I will gladly answer you Best wishes
